My HS seized up today. Oil level was ok. Need to remove stage 111 skyhawk gear box geared centrifical clutch bell housing. does it take a special puller? The ?? thing in attached pictures[pencil is pointing to it] has a key way and key mating it to the engine shaft. Clutch has to come off to continue tear down. Help:confused:

Pry/rock it off with screwdrivers(or whatever) from 2 sides simultaneously.
No puller so no pretty way to do this. When finished lightly grease the output shaft & don't have the Woodroof key overly tight.....SNUG.

got it off

what a bear . The part I finally removed is called [according to grubee] the clutch installer coller. Now to remove the clutch weights which are on as tight as the coller. Would be nice if the clutch design were more like Max Torque or comet.

i found out a trick...
lower the chain ajuster wheel ,,,
and then take the 2 scews out of the cover that go in the motor ..
that will then drop your chain
take the back cover off
its very easy to get to the clutch and pry it off the crank a bit at a time the key will even slide off with the clutch ...
works every time
