USA Made Bicycle Engines

Very Interesting

It's nice to see some fresh thinking on the old I.C.E. !!!
There are so many ways it can be improved on, We have only begun to see the tip of the iceberg..
Lot's of cool things to come over time...
Keep up the good work, The future belongs to those with the dream !!!

I agree seanhan...
Keep moving ahead 210061741. I'll be buying from you when the time comes or experimenting with one of your prototypes. I appreciate those who dream then pursue it. Even those who dream and never finish... At least they lived a little life within the dream.

I have more but here is the patten.

So you see this is real my friend.

Be a believer.

Are there any videos of a working prototype?

(And BTW - it is a "patent" and "patented". Using the correct terminology will go far in gaining more credibility.

I suppose these aren't anything either.

Looks like a copy of a Happy Time. Which is a copy of a Russian design. So that makes it a copy of a copy. Which isn't a bad thing I suppose.

If the original HT design were copied and produced with quality die cast parts for the cylinder and engine case, it could be a very good seller.

Hi Rich,

Lovely work, please keep aggressively pushing ahead with the design and manufacture.

From what i can see, the clutch cover mating surface has provision for an o-ring seal, which gives possibility to a wet clutch design.

Rich, my credit card is starting to salivate; leaving disgusting dribbles on the desktop.

Working on it.
Perfection takes time.

Yes there is a version of the crankshaft for our engine.

Be nice ARCEEGUY

Wer'e doing good things with good intentions here.

A little support goes a long way.

It's not a matter of "being nice" - but asking critical questions.

A lot of people have had some pretty wild pipe dreams, and only a small percentage have seen those dreams turn into reality. (Sick Bike Parts and their jackshaft kit, Quenton and EZ motorbike Co.)

Just keeping you guys on your toes. As always, no malice intended.

Exhaust Turbo Compounding

The new Detroit clean air diesels have exhaust turbo compounding in addition to a cat converter which has diesel injection if the cat fall below min. converter temperatures.

My buddy drove several of these to shows for dealers and industry.

One morning before making his run for the day, he climbed up and put his hand inside the exhaust stack. Clean no soot, nada. Impressive.

Hi Rich

You radiate "credibility", based on your previous works of "making things happen".

I still like the novel idea of a double sleeve valve engine, but it has significant drawbacks, the main one being cold weather starting issues with such a high degree of oil film strength between the sleeves.
It would be like a Formula 1 engine that requires water and oil pre-heaters before an attempt at starting the thing would be made possible.

The extra weight of sleeves and thermal transfer to radiated surfaces would also cause some nightmares.

Aside from an engineering exercise, it's a failure just waiting to be confirmed.
Be that as it may, the potential for supercharging using variable exhaust port timing is excellent.

Another variation on supercharging is turbo compounding, originally used on WW2 radial engines, where exhaust energy is absorbed through an exhaust turbine, connected via a coupling mechanism, feeding power back to the crankshaft.
This may be a more workable system than an outright turbo or supercharger.
