Good news! PK80J engines available again!

Here is some good news for anybody wanting to get there hands on a PK80J 66/80cc bicycle engine...

Even though zoombicycles.com & gasbikeshop.com (same company) show "out of stock" on there kits and "powerkingshop" on ebay isn't selling anything, ruihong enterprises in fact do have some stock of these and are selling them on ebay as "gasbikeshop" seller. Wooohooo!!!

My suspicion that it is them was confirmed when I ordered one & saw "ruihong enterprises" at the checkout, then when it showed up on my door step not even 2 days later (as usual, must have been sent out the day I ordered) I really knew I was on the money!

I think this is the "new batch" of engines - the boxes seemed to be packed a bit differently (different stuff in different box), the sparkplug that likes to break when shipped screwed in the head was thoughtfully left aside this time. Engine had the same old "Pizhou Younxing" (or whatever) sticker so hopefully it will run like a top (as the previous ones did for me).

They have "more then 10" listed so that gives anybody who wants one a good chance of getting one before they become available in there online stores.

I e-mailed Andrew from zoombicycles about a month ago, he said that they would get their shipment in by the end of february.

How come they have some for sale on ebay? I dunno, but they do, that's
the main thing.

I like the engines from powerkingshop. They sell them with a bigger downtube bracket for cruisers and they seem to be well built. I dont know how many miles are on my zoombikes motor but its A LOT....

I wouldn't mind picking one up when they get some in.


Please let us know when they get the shipment.

I had a look on the site and could only find grubee 50/66 engines...?

This thread is specifically about the "PK80-J" engines from "Pizhou Yongxing" factory, which many of us consider, um, "cream of the crop", lol.


An update on the engine I received (bought from zoom on e-bay) - it is mounted on the bike & running strong (just got the bike done yesterday), the only issue was that the 3 pins that the clutch slides on were too long & rubbed on the cover (whoever put them in must have been hung over from the chinese new year...), no biggie just ground them down a bit. Other then that no problems at all, runs quiet & smooth.
