Okay everyone here is the forum to detail what you have, use, and think are good practices to help keep us out the the ER. I know we can not change what other people in cars and trucks do in front of us but we can prepare ourselves for what is bound to happen sooner or later.
I have heard many members talk about how they keep themselves as safe a possible so we set up a forum to keep this good info in one place. Please share your thoughts, ideas, and practices.

great idea, guys :)

...will you be moving "memorial" topics into the safety area?

I think that all stories of mishaps would be good for this forum. To show that no one is invulnerable to accidents.

Good idea......speaking from personal experience. Mab bike is down, so I took my road bike to work today...maybe two miles. Helmet was with the other bike. You know where this is going....yep, hit a patch of ice fro snow melt that went across the bike path....went down. Everything was OK except a torn pant leg and scratches on the handle bar tape, but...... And I should know better. Only takes once.
