Helmutt, the history might be impressive and it certainly looks good, but $10,000 is a lot of money for the performance.
I'll wait a couple of years and see what develops.

Heh that bike looks so cool! I'd love to get my hands on that for a run about, 80's vintage style.

And as a final side question on the downhill thing, I thought that a heavier vehicle quite literally was being forced downhill with more force from gravity? I once raced a really big guy on identical bikes, just rolling down hill he really flew ahead of me, from an equal starting speed.

Sorry Mike, I answered this in my PM, but just to clarify the gravity issue for others, weight, (mass), makes no difference to acceleration down a hill.
We're still restricted to about 9.8m/s², at sea level, regardless of mass.
Was it Galileo?

Air resistance makes a bit of a difference, but that should make bigger, (broader), guys accelerate at a slightly slower rate and reach terminal velocity at a lower speed. (Not that any of us are likely to really reach terminal velocity, despite the post I saw the other day that proved beyond any doubt, on video, that we can exceed the speed of light if we're on top of carb tuning. I forget the name of the thread, but 'speed of light' should find it.)
Also, higher friction with higher weight will slow things down even more. (Only minutely.)

sorry, but there is a huge difference between an electric bicycle for $10,000.00 v.s. a gas motorcycle for $8,000.00.
That electric thing is not a motorcycle!!!

Steve. I would also Have a Hard time wanting to Pony that Money.. as I Have Ponied Mine doing other things.. and Yet I Have sold Helmutt Bicycles for Haft that Cost of that Bike.. Carns Sold One Xcelsior ffor 12 Grand.. So I guess it's working for those Guys. they seem to stay going..

But another Detail that we Have delt with, trying to understand the Mind-set Of the Guy that does go out and Buy a Sony, Panisonic,Or FO,MO,CO/Fords electric Bikes/Mo-peds. and we still don't Know how that Guy thinks.? we've been resently debating that Market. and yet those guys are Just differant.. style isn't there thing..? Something I don't quite get?? They are a whole differant Breed.. Takes all type I guess ??

takes all kinds, yes.

as myriad the reasons for motorvatin' a bicycle, so too are the personal styles & preferences. function & form are variables, and can be mixed in just about any ratio you choose.

a common misconception many new MB-arrivals have is that there's few options...not so...there are plenty of low- and almost-no-maintenance rigs rolling around...2-strokes that will never exceed their own limitations, 4-strokes that'll putt all day without a whimper...all can be made to hum or scream, depending on what floats your boat...and yet they are all MotoredBikes & we are all MotoredBikers

on-topic: i agree electric is the future of all modes. right now, it's still easier to just put the energy source (gasoline) in the tank, but that will not always be the case. granted, it will be hard to satisfy some folks' desire for form but there will be a lot of function going on no doubt...and function is ultimately the driving force behind most vehicular innovations, imo.

I prefer the Brammo Enertia. Better price, comparable performance...actually has some style.

Yeah I looked at that as well, looked **** ugly if you ask me.. Though it's performance was about the same, so was its price.
