gas tank mounting problems

how on earth am i supposed to attach this gas tank to this engine, the holes on the tank dont match up with the ones on the motor and im sure i bought the right size tank, ive attached a picture explaining it

Did you contact the vendor and send this picture? He might ask you to send it back for a replacement. You could ask for a refund, or trim the tank and/or engine case.

yep i trimmed it, got it to line up perfectly, but the problem is finding bolts to hold it on

Think metric sized bolts....

maybe 4mm or so???

with lock washers, locknuts and/or locktite.
