I am trying to locate my problem. THE MOTOR RUNS AT FAST IDLE. My carb adjustment is three full turns out. The linkage on my cable could be the problem, I don't know how to adjust the linkage. on the carburator or the hand throttle grip I need help? The engine is the 80/66ccBGF.PR80?

Check first to see that the brass barrel inside the carb is installed right side up and so that the slot rides the pin, then check to make sure the slide isn't binding inside the carb body.

Also check for a tight seal where your carb attaches to the manifold and look for a good seal between the mani and the engine. An air leak will make your motor race (and then melt)

geronimo, adjust your cable so that there's about 2-3mm slack. (That allows for turning the bars side-to-side without pulling on the cable.)

'3 turns out' means little with the idle screw. Turn it out further if needed. It only adjusts idle speed, not mixture.

And as Chris said, ensure that you have no air leaks on the intake.

in the carb,

I reset the pin still have fast idle there is a little slack in the chain--it catches on the side of the housing.. VERRRRRRRRRYYEE DANGEROUS, THE erratic starts and running 'with a miss pop' is trying on my nerves. I'm getting too old to be thrown off of this bike, much more. HELP!!!
