i need to find a motoped!!!

well you might as well just get a small dirt bike thats all that is just add peddles

i just cant find a good way to integrate the pedals.. and then u have the lower ride height and stubby wheels to deal with so u would have to swap a longer swing arm and forks with down hill wheels to fit..i really like the idea though.. i just cant find a way to make it work

man if u can build one like that one for 600 then show me finished product and ill buy it off u and pay labor and shipping

Depends on what about that bike appeals to you. If you just want something with offroading capabilities you could do something like this -
Again: front end off an old enduro bike (100.00)
Triple tree threaded with a Jesse James West Coast Chopper (70.00 for the chopper)
Slapped a simple 80cc Boy-Go-Fast off of Ebay along with a 32 tooth sprocket
100.00)
Got the gas tank off of Ebay too for another 80.00
...and that's pretty much it man. Little paint and a little nip and tuck.
If you're serious about what you're wanting to do, but a little short on the experience and the tools to get it done -
I suggest you start shopping around on here for a custom mechanic that might be close to you and willing to work closely with you for the money you'd otherwise be spending on shipping.
That way, you could involve yourself in the process of design and specifications. Hope this helps.

that helps very much.. but its not eactly wat im looking for.. im looking for those same older dirt bike forks but im looking for a frame kinda like a crf 50 honda with a larger custom swing arm for full suspension.. and just a front brake will do and a used honda 50 or 70 motor will to aswell because the have the same mounts.. i want to really come close to the motoped in the frame and swing arm but everything else can be down graded to meet the price..

ya but i need pedals..cause in order to have no registration and no license required u must have pedals..

Gotcha. Off road would be good though I think if you had a bike looking like the one you linked in your first post on the road, cops are gonna say it's an MC and not a bicycle. :helmet:

ya but with black plactics ill blend in or honda stock ones.. but they cant do anything cause its legal.. so they can just watch and cry

jt, that is a sweet design on those motopeds.

Got my mind cranking, so I decided to check out just a few things. Did some calculations, and I figure a guy could build an approximation to be powered by an HT or other small engine pretty straightforwardly.

So, I designed one. As drawn, the two forward tubes from the bottom bracket shell are not necessary to the strength of the frame - built out of thick wall 1.5" OD cro-molly tubing the arcing main tube is more than sufficiently stiff to support everything. In fact, I drew it that way at first. I just like the look of the paired down tubes better.

Rear shock travel is 4", wheelbase is 50", wheels as drawn are intended to be 24".

Tell me what you think, people, por favor.

I'd be interested in buying one, but I hope they don't pull me over while I'm riding the bikepath and bikelane on a regular basis.

I'll be the one watching(them pore over my bike) and crying.

i like it alot.. i love the cruiser front design but its no my style not strong enough for my kind of riding.. i want something to handle some mild abuse

they wont if ur in arizona idk the laws in other places.. but my buddy has a real motoped and we were riding together and a cop pulled us over and he said that is legal and really cool

anyways.. i have an idea that im going to try and it will be my version of the motoped..
it will basically be
crf 50 frame and seat and tank and plastics and motor with accesories
cr125 front forks and wheel and disc brake and hand bars and triple clamp
xr100 rear monoshock swing arm
with a wide downhill crankset with stong cranks and pedals mounted wear the pegs for the crf50 mount under the motor and a small 2 tooth spocket and a chain riding on a shaft coming out of the front spocket on the motor aith a one way 9 tooth mounted on the shaft.. see wat im thinking??
