Greetings from the other side of the world. With limited internet connectivity and allowable sites we can visit, one tends to search randomness. As this forum is right up my alley, I can't describe how happy I am that this site is allowed.

**Not even realizing it until now, I saw a civilian contractor riding a motorized bicycle around just the other day - I'm going to hit him up with questions.

I'm a huge fan of boardtrackers and am just thrilled at the photos on this site. I look forward to learning a whole heckuva lot about these bikes and (as of right now) would love to own one like StillDream'n's Whizzer Indian. As someone who lacks any type of mechanical/engine repair skills (I owned a mint 1957 Nash Metro and after just a couple of years it went to **** becuase I couldn't maintin it), so an ideal situation would be to buy one outright rather than build one.

I've some searching and read that the Solano Beach Choppers Board Trackers go for 3G's. Where and how much can I get a StillDream'n Indian for?

Cheers All!!

Welcome and thank YOU on this Thanksgiving Day.

Thank you for serving our country.

(sorry dunno the answer on the Indian)

Thanks so very much folks!! I've been doin' some traveling around the AO the past couple of days and returned this morning - will be heading out again in a bit. I was able to catch a nice Thanksgiving lunch before my flight out and arrived at the next base in time for a Thanksgiving dinner (and Cheesecake Olivia). Not too shabby. I spent the good portion an hour the following day standing next to the Wi-Fi tower (yes, we have Wi-Fi :) trying to learn a bit more about these amazing pieces of art and formulating what I want mine to look like.

I've narrowed it down to a HD Sportsman Drop Loop (StillDream'n's bike lacks pedals and I'm from California where I need to fly under the radar with my MB) - the kind a Gentlemen picked up for $300, as indicated in another thread. I'm perty darned excited about it.

The one I saw on base looked a little Frankensteiny, but then again, I wasn't this interested in them then. When I landed back at my home base this morning, I saw two Marines riding bicycles and noticed one was going much faster...sure enough, it was a MB.

Semper Fidelis!!

Cheers!!

I just got back from parris island and was fortunate enough to have my new marine graduate son home for thanksgiving dinner. It was an awesome experience.

Thank you and all the men and women of our armed forces that help keep us ugly civilians safe and sound.

have fun with your search for that perfect Mb that will fit your needs, that part is as much fun as building one yourself.
