Getting a engine to Cali?

...well. Pypelyne says they do but their product IS a little spendy and there have been some reports that they are a little...iffy...

Echelon,
Your issue is symptomatic of the voters in your state who elect individuals whose environmental positions impose hardship on its citizens. You are old enough to vote and I ask you to use that right wisely in your local and state elections. As our President said, elections have consequences and your situation is an example of that. Good luck in getting a motorized bike engine.

I've looked all over and cannot find a site that ships to California. does anyone know where I can find a company that does?

Would it be too unethical to have it say..... shipped to another forum member outside of your state and then have him ship it to you?

Double shipping, but engine in hand!

I was actually thinking about this. I do have someone on deck who is willing to do this. But would it work? I mean, would it somehow circumvent the the EPA Carb. regulations?

I dont think it matters on epa carbs as long as you get a motor. And there is a lot of sellers there in cali on ebay that sells motors . And the works like boy go fast lucky early bird and a host of others contact them by personal email. Im sure rick from boy go fast will hook you up if you meet with him. You might pay a little more but it is worth it .

There is a Motorized Bike Retail Shop just up the road from you in Dana Point, called E-Z Cruizer Bikes. They are located at 34255 PCH, Dana Point. They advertise regularly in the Orange County Craigslist bike section. They usually advertise complete bikes but they might also sell kits? Give them a call at (949) 429-7651

I've bought parts from EZ before and was disappointed with their service. The exhaust that they sold me shot out flames for the first week and the head stud and bolt were completely mismatched to my engine and each other. i wont be buying from them any time soon unless it is an unopened box. Even then I am skeptical because of warranty or returns.

One more source for 2-stroke kits in Calif. would be Venice Motor Bikes up in LA
