I saw this on another bicycle site, and thought i'd share it here.
it was built by a place called 3g fab. it aint pretty because it's done in the rat rod style.
yes, that's a turbo!

he said that the turbo is from a subaru car, it's functional and that the engine runs on methanol.

No peddals.

the point is that it is a bicycle frame, and it has a wicked motor on it.
i'm just posting it because i thought it was cool...and it's beginnings were from a bicycle frame.
peddles or not, it's pretty darn cool if you ask me.

Hi Troops,
I hate to burst the bubble on this one but I seriously doubt that the turbo on this set up would do anything to increase performance. The oil can that is suposed to supply oil to the turbo would not come within a bulls roar of the required flow and pressure. Then where would the now very hot oil be returned to and allowed to be cooled. The carby on this type of motor is designed to have air drawn through it and not pushed through under pressure, hence the float bowl system would not work. There are other issues as well but I think you get the idea.
The only thing this machine may gain is a bit of 'Street Cred' from the un-educated but thats all.

Cheers BJ

Yea, I kinda thought that too, but it's mostly just for looking at. Maybe a noisemaker too.

There's no small-enough turbo anywhere that you could put on a lawnmower engine and actually have the lawnmower engine drive it enough to reach any boost.

It might be possible to build a turbo that would give a couple PSI of real actual boost, but a mower engine wouldn't hold up very long even under that much. 30 minutes, maybe?
