Hi all, I'm just getting into the world of motorized bikes by starting my first build. I'm building a Schwinn OCC Chopper bike as my frame. A Silver Slant 80cc bicycle motor kit, NuVinci N360 Rear Gear changing Hub for power and drive-train. What I'm working hard on engineering is the electrical system. I want to have the engine be electric start, and have a charging system using a Permanent Magnet Alternator (YAF-54) and small 12 Volt battery. This is the part I really need help on any suggestions would be very helpful.

Out of the thousands on this forum that have a China 49/80cc, I haven't run across one that someone adapted to electric...

see the electric start i have an idea for of just removing the recoil start assembly adding a sprocket and have the electric starter turn that by a chain what i need the most help with is the charging system, namely making it so i don't overcharge the battery and have it explode on me while riding. :)

Being a Occ Schwinn guy myself that hub you are going to use is awesome but i would pay more to get rid of the vibration issue your going to have instead of reinventing the wheel on that bike. Hey its your bike and its going to look good. Good Luck
