I have a GT2B sky hawk 48cc I have everything finally line out,It ran good about 400 miles the chain finally broke.I had it aligned with the tensioner and the tensioner finally look rough too, but I have a new one of them.I just am thinking to run it without the tensioner so I took the the tensioner off and started it up and the chain popped off the back sprocket was really out off whack. So whats the best way to get it aligned the easiest way with or out the tensioner.

Some rear sprockets are dished, some are flat. It sounds like you need a dished sprocket if you don't have one. The dished depending how you mount it, will move the chain inward or outward from the rim.. You can see the difference here...

I already have the dished one and tried it both ways. Thanks a bunch.

Are the sprockets lined up? You may have to bevel the teeth on the wheel sprocket, the chain might be catching on the teeth and thrown off. How I align sprockets is with a string, pull tight from front to rear, without the chain on.

Well thanks going to try that Al going to try the string need to know where to tie it on I know you said from front to rear give me a more detailed instruction on it . I really want something to help I'm kinda getting burnt out at it...thanks again

something is telling me that he has the chain too loose.
if the chain was in line before, then there's no real reason whay it would be out of line just by removing the tensioner.
to check alignment of the sprockets, just hold the string on top of the engine sprocket (or tape it to the top on a tooth) and then run the string back to the wheel sprocket and hold it or tape it to the top of one of the teeth. now, stand behind the bike, squat down and get the sting in eyesite and just look at the string,
if the string is straight it's ok, if the string is at an angle, then the sprocket alignment is off.

yes It was to loose I was going to tighten it up the next morning but I had a few people over and they want to ride I really thought it would make until I get to tighten it.The chain had about 400 mile or so on it and the stock tensioner which had some groves in it. So I replace tensioner and new chain started it up chain pop off the sprocket was really wobble so tried every thing to get it straight but no luck.I'm going to try the string thing thanks

I think I got it aligned the string thing worked so far I'm not using a tensioner I rode it around for a couple min never got to really go full throttle because I didn't want to be stranded had to go work. Thanks guys
