Hey guys! One day my Chinese 2 stroke stopped running. When I ride it down my driveway and try to start it, it turns over, just no spark. At first I thought it was the spark plug, so I got a new one and it didn't help. I then got a new CDI and it also didn't help. Any ideas? Does anyone reckon it could be the magneto that's broken? I did do a couple of rain rides. If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.
Thanks heaps, Corey.

Oh awesome! Where did you buy your replacement magneto from? And did it run fine straight after replacing it?
Thanks

DON'T just go and replacing parts, it might be any one of a number of things.

I just pOsted an identical thread. It was my magneto
Telling him you replaced your magneto may of solved your problem, but doesn't mean it's his problem. I hate to lead someone into buying something he might not need. It may well be his magneto, but how can you tell without working on it, I can't. All I can is give possible fixes.

Well Al... Although these things are cheap... I dont think theyre THAT cheap. Maaaaybe a piston ring broke... Maaaaybe his carb is leaking or clogged. But it's prob something simple like his magneto got wet like mine after taking a rain ride. The cases aren't sealed that well.

Corey. Take your exhaust pipe off right at the side Of the engine. If you roll around and fuel comes out then it's prob electrical.

You need 4 things
Air
Fuel
Compression
Spark. So if you turn over you're lookin good

Thanks for the links Al, I noticed one one of them it says isolate or remove the white wire. Does this mean to ground it?
