Hello all,
I'm a new member here and have most of my parts for my first build.
Couple of days ago bought a Nirve 'Switchblade". Today picked up a Grubee GT5 80/66cc Silver SkyHawk Bicycle Engine Kit.

I'm sure I'll be asking allot of questions and hoping to get everyone's help here, so please be easy on me...

Going for the low center of gravity engine type engine mounting set up.
I can already see some things to work out.
I'll check in with some picture in the next couple of days to show you any progress.
If anyone that has done a Switchblade, has any tips for me it would be appreciated.

There are quite a few Switchblade builds that have been done here
and I have even ridden one a few years ago.

Good luck with your build. :)

Started on the build today, Not going to be as easy as I thought.
Got the engine kit, made the gas cap and installed the petcock.

Mocked up the engine, and put the rear sprocket together. Had to do some modification to the brake arm. I also shimmed out the counter shaft sprocket.

Very interesting, the engine mounts will be a challenge, but doable. How much do you think the tube will hold? You will need to vent gas tank.

Got a little work done today, front engine head stay.
And the gas tank vent. (Al.fisherman I saw that you asked about it)
I'm going to see how much the tank will hold after I seal it up.
I'll get back at it after another trip for more parts.
