How often do you fix your chain drivin kit-

meh. My bike hasn't been the most reliable, but TBH with probably 700mi on it, its not been too bad. Most of my issues have been my own **** fault. Its not as reliable as my real moped, but it cost much less and I get the joy of being able to say I built it myself. Most of my problems have also NOT been with the engine its self, its been with other things. I knew full well when I built the thing in the first place that it wasn't going to be as reliable, and in reality its actually been better than I thought it'd be.

Also 2stroker, I love how you start the thread by saying you aren't putting down these kits, then proceed to do just that. In fact, you proceed to put down the build of someone who probably has done way more with his bike in the way of customization than most others on the site. class act.

(sorry, that just rubbed me the wrong way, never put down another man's project)

As i said 2stroker, my trailer train was designed for the most part with young kids in mind.
I remember back to when i was very young and the endless hours of enjoyment gained from wooden train sets; attaching as many carriages to make the longest train.

That joy is no less for young children today, beaming with enthusiasm of being able to jump inside the trailers whilst taking a ride on the front lawn and sidewalk in a cul-de-sac; consistently going bananas over the experience.
As i explained in my previous note to you, it was adult Moms who were even more enthusiastic than their kids at last years Christmas party.

I can understand that the trailers might (in your opinion) appear goofy, but they were not designed and created with you in mind.

I started this post just for fabian. When i started this post in the friction drive forum he kept posting about his chain drive and the post was how reliable is your friction kit.. So i started a post for the chain drive guys to.

I had to do clutch maintenance after every ride until I got a centrifugal clutch kit. The bike is far more reliable now.

Really? granted mine doesn't have a whole lot of miles, but I haven't had to do anything to my clutch other than adjust the cable. Have to watch out for that I guess. Maybe 1 out of every 10 times I try and start it, when I pop the clutch it will just slip and feel as tho I applied the rear brake, but otherwise it hasn't been an issue.

@ wheelbender6

If you've got a 2-stroke China-Girl/Happy-Time accessory centrifugal clutch, and haven't done the centrifugal clutch modification, unreliability will manifest itself at about 200 miles...

Oh gosh, that's so wonderful to hear.

Oh Fabian Im just giving ya a hard time:D I actually started this post to hear about the chain kits and there reliability. I had to break out my golden kit last night its been raining for 4days here.

Thats a bummer only 200miles outta the box and its gonna break. That would last me a week. After all the money you spend upgrading your kit you might as well buy one reliable outta the box! Unless of course you like building stuff and personalizing your bike kit to your needs.
