Clutch Removing Clutch Shaft

Hello im trying to remove the clutch shaft and im not sure how to remove it. Thank you very much
You need a gear puller. Remove drive gear nut, (the sparkplug tool fits) remove clutch plate, (star nut) then use gear puller to remove drive gear. Using something soft, like a piece of wood or a brass punch, tap on the shaft until it slides out of the clutch side. If you need to pull the clutch gear, the gear puller will work to separate the gear from the shaft. The reason you'll need to drive the shaft out is because it is a tight fit into the bearings, but sometimes they slide right out. In any case, I recommend changing the bearings for better quality ones while you're there. You'll be glad you did. Also, when reassembling, make sure that the shaft spins freely, lots of parasitic hp losses here if the bearings are binding. (a common problem with these engines).
