The carburettor in your link is not the carburettor that works with the reed valve intake. The new diaphragm carburettor is a different version.

Also, news just in: the new twin needle carburettor is designed to work with a standard throttle cable

There is no clamp on carburettor.

In the original link, the spacer block shown has been designed to simply allow the Walbro carburettor to attach to the intake port, without a reed valve.

A special spacer block has been designed to fit over the Rock Solid Engines reed valve intake to allow the Walbro style carburettor to attach to the reed valve.
Tony will send you the correct parts when you contact him by email to organise a purchase.

There is a short waiting period because he is flat out manufacturing these parts as quite a few have been pre-sold; myself having made a purchase the moment i heard it was going to be released.

I have purchased a fair bit off stuff from rocksoild over the past few years but i have never seen the price of that Walbro Carby go down lol but i like the dellorto type carby anyway..

I was going to buy a new billet head off of them, when i brought one last year it was 80$.. this year it is 95$

For the quality of materials and engineering and design work the Rock Solid Engines cylinder head should be closer to $200. I wouldn't be complaining about $95 price tag.

Not complaining, just wondering why they moved the price up from what it was a year ago, normally things go down in price once it has been sold for a while. They are very well engineered and designed well thou i must say.

i was going to buy the 4Lt fuel tank for my motorised bicycle. I saw it was 100$ on ebay and almost had a heart attack haha But i found out MBB imports is selling them for 50$ which is reasonable considering i will have to stop for fuel less

Has anyone put this Walbro carb on with an extended intake manifold for improved low end power? I really want to get this carb but I'd be sacrificing my low-end for ease of tuneability, that is, unless I either get the reed valve or fab up an extended manifold. I'm just curious mostly, has anyone put a diaphragm carburetor on an extended intake manifold?

There is little point in having an extended intake manifold if using the reed valve system. It also must be noted that the thermal isolation spacer adds approx 3/4 of an inch of length to the intake tract, and when combined with a reed valve intake and Walbro carburettor, the intake assembly length is reasonably long.
