I received the new 4 stroke engine bike kit for my birthday in December.
I put I on a 26" Diamond back MT bike that I've had hanging upside down for 15yrs. After getting it fit for the road, I've drivin it back and forth to work every day. I work on a big construction project at the university of SC and park in a bike rack at the front door of the building where the Media department is located.
I have been the hit of the department, they interviewed me and broadcast cast it on the schools daily show. They also put the interview on YouTube, you can watch the interview by going to YouTube and looking for the story its named. "Motorized Bicycle uses less than a dollar. A week in gas".
The other Guy in the interview was actually supposed to have been a supporter, I sent them over to him! He had told me he would like to partner with me and that he'd not sold many bikes lately, I can see why after the video. Hey at least I found out before investing anything with him.
I can't believe the attention I'm receiving its amazing!
I drive this everywhere rain or shine. I'm 6'2" and weigh 250lbs still do 48 MPH down a major hill at 5:30am! Talk about getting your wake up on!
All the other workers on this project have to park 3 blocks away and it takes 15 minutes to get to the sight. I get there in three and its just great.
I'm gonna start building for others soon!

For some reason the YouTube HTTP didn't list properly, it is listed under the title "Motorized Bicycle uses less than a dollar a week in gas"
I also have it up on my Facebook page, though a friend request is needed in order to access my profile.

Rudy,

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and look forward to seeing the video of your build. It's a contagious disease that is not easy to shake!!!

Just be aware that running that engine at 48 mile per hour downhill may shorten the life of your engine. You may end up spinning a bearing, throwing a rod or have a piston seizure, especially if you are running at or above the maximum RPM rating of the engine. You may also cause a lean condition to occur if you have the throttle wide open while racing down the hill.

Enjoy the ride,

Chris

If you are really going 48 mph you are over revving your motor and will
break the connecting rod any day.

Hey thanks for the warning on the speed thing, I had no information other than a basic maintenance catalog, which didn't state any parameters on speed.
On the pink flames thing, the interview actually went on for about 30 minutes, Lauren stated to me" so you could design a bike to fit my lifestyle "?
well had I thought there was a chance I would be edited into making a statement that PINK FLAMES could be interpreted as something I would be considering as custom, I promise I'd never had mentioned it as an option.
They want to do a follow up with in the future so I will have to maybe think before I speak?
That's gonna be a challenge in and of itself.
I'm gonna slow it down a notch or to as well, at least until I get a backup bike finished.

Welcome to the forum. My wife is a Gamecock. She was there when George Rogers won the Heisman.

Yeah the bike shop man got me, he told me he couldn't wait to go in as a partner with me, even the day before the interview I saw him and discussed the importance of simplicity. I also discussed the need of trust between partners and that a contract would be needed, he agreed and said good idea. Some people, I didn't see it coming. No loss though glad I found out before damage could be done.
