So I'm looking at building a bike this winter. Currently I have a gt5 on a schwin ranger mountain bike.
I picked up an old steel framed huffy 10spd road bike that I want to put the engine on.
The project will be based on this: take my mongoose xr-200 and put the forks and wheels on the old huffy . Then I'll have front suspension, front discs and alloy wheels. Also widen the handle bars a smudge.
Next goal is I want this thing to do 30-35 and be reliable. What's the best way to do this and not get too over zealous with mods and such? I'm ok with a single speed bike.
I'm 240# and Iv had the ranger doing 30 ready with nearly everything stock. Jag cdi and gutted muffler are the only mods.
