Will this motor work with a staton/dax F/D kit?

OK I see the keyway slot is 1-3/4 in length not the whole length, they're messin with me.

darwin, it doesn't matter about the key slot's length.
For starters, the engine won't bolt onto the drive housing,
or any transmission or gear housing which accepts 76mm clutches.

WAIT! Don't give up yet!

If you drilled new bolt holes or bolted on a larger mounting plate onto the housing, the engine should bolt on.
No commercial friction rollers are available, so you'd have to fab one, maybe 1.5" or larger.

That's a huge and heavy engine to mount like that, though.

Yea I had a Maui Wowie moment there, that motor is too heavy and shaft too long to work, brain fart moment.

Darwin I'd download the pictures and send them to David Staton. If he doesn't have something to bolt up the engine I'm sure he can make an adaptor that will let you do it. That's a great buy on those engines. If you rear rack mount it I'd suggest moving the gas tank to your center bar. The carburetor looks like its gravity fed like the Honda GXH 50. So you may have to change it out in order to move the gas tank.

Darwin I looked up these engines 152F Lifan 2.5 they are 98 cc and turn 4200 rpm but 3600 rpm is what's recommended to run at. The torque is 2.8 ft/lbs at 3000 rpm. Here in the states you couldn't legally use this engine on the public roadways in most states. I know others have done builds with these engines, I hope this information has helped some.

or just add a vacum operated fuelpump

Yeah I called this guy and he said the carburetor is the same as what's used on the Honda GXH 50. So changing the carburetor or the fuel pump you suggested is what would be needed to move the tank horizontally and stay somewhat level with the carburetor. Because of the low rpm, large size and high torque this probably isn't a good engine for a standard bicycle. However IbidaYank since you build custom frames I could see this engine being very practical for you.

with a tank mounted to the top of the tunnel the output on the tank will be higher then the carb anyway
