New Products

Now THAT is what I call a SICK bike part! :devilish: I want one so badly!!
Oh well, hopefully soon. I just know Fabian will get one first and I'm pre-emptively green with envy. :-/
I just can't stop thinking about all the wonderful benefits that would come from running the 21T jackshaft sprocket and it's driving me crazy!

Please explain how you set up the Shift Kit with the 21 tooth sprocket?

How does the chain length differ?
How does the left hand side chain tensioner work with the new 21 tooth sprocket?
How does the left hand side chain tensioner side plate differ from the standard side plate?
Is the left hand side chain tensioner arm made longer to accommodate the larger radius of the 21 tooth sprocket?
How does the angularity of the chain tensioner arm differ compared to the 17 tooth sprocket?
Is there a new spring of different length or tension supplied with the chain tensioner if ordering the 21 tooth sprocket?

Will a 40 tooth sprocket be available for the shift kit?

I'm already getting my order together for a bunch of items from the SickBikeParts website; the new 21 tooth sprocket will be included in the order.

Fabian, to be honest we don't know the answer to most of those questions at this time. However, by the end of the week I should have a good handle on your questions. I just knew most of us wanted to slow the shaft speed down which will allow better pedal assist. With the current Shift Kit design and the addition of the left side bearing support and chain tensioner we should be able to get this to work without much difficulty. I will post when I have a good base line as far as shims and chain link starting points.

I will look into a 40 tooth chainring. I agree that the jump between a 36 and 44 is large and a 40 would be good to have.
