Cant seem to find a CDI

The racers have found that the Jaguar falls on it's face due to over
retarded timing.

The vast majority of motorized bicycle users are not riding around at "racing rpm's", so that argument is null and void; more so if you need long term reliability from your engine.
The Jaguar CDI allows the ignition to be advanced or retarded, depending on the requirements of the end user. Unfortunately the Huffy Davidson CDI does not have this option.

I have no idea what the crew were thinking when they had the chance to improve on the Jaguar CDI, because in reality, they went "backwards" with "user functionality", instead of the norm of advancing an already proven product; increasing it's adjustability as well as having the option to design improved user functionality.

I was really hoping that the Huffy Davidson CDI would be the next step in the progression of aftermarket CDI's for the 2-stroke Chinese bicycle engine. Sadly they missed the mark.
It wouldn't have been that difficult for the team (with their knowledge) to design a USB PC interface so the ignition curve could be infinitely adjusted by plugging it in to a computer - that's the level of functionality that the Huffy Davidson CDI "SHOULD" have had.

I'm bitterly disappointed with the development curve of their product (because i was hoping for so much), considering they had the functionality of the Jaguar CDI as a base to improve upon.

I never said that. I am only stating the difference between the Jaguar CDI and the Huffy Davidson CDI.

It is up to you to analyse the difference between the two products and then make a decision that is suitable to your application.

If the Huffy Davidson had better functionality than the Jaguar CDI, it would be installed on my bike tomorrow. Because it doesn't have improved functionality, i have the Jaguar CDI installed on my bike.

Well stated and the reason we carry both.

I will say this and still try not to get into the nitty gritty. Neither of the manufacturers are organized "companies" in the USA - not that it really matters (it may impact some of the suggestions above), but really we ALL will be better off without the stupid drama and petty histrionics. Both guys need to just stop talking abut the other guy - publicly and privately - and think about their own products. If this keeps up we may be forced to take our valuable time to develop our own source. Thanks and sorry. Please carry on.

I would be happy if a third party threw their hat into the ring and had a red hot go at making a substantially improved version of the Jaguar CDI, with a USB PC interface.
Ultimately it has to be that way because the laws of obsolescence guarantees it at some point in time.

On that note, (and as i have expressed previously), i was desperately hoping that the team responsible for producing the Huffy Davidson CDI took universal advise from Bill gates:

“In three years, every product my company makes will be obsolete. The only question is whether we will make them obsolete or somebody else will.”

Considering that the Huffy Davidson team had the Jaguar CDI as a reference point, they haven't even so much as taken Bill Gates advise to heart, otherwise they would have created a Huffy Davidson product that relegated the Jaguar CDI to the dustbin of history.

In saying it appears that Jaguar is not standing still with his product, because he is incorporating and bringing into production new design features; giving the product some level of life extension.

That would be a good experiment, though you need to be familiar with how the jumper switches work and how the ignition curves effect the combustion process.

Though in no way do i relate this to you personally, but there is a saying: "give an idiot more options and he will create a bigger f*&kup".
Sometimes manufacturers limit the functionality of their product to prevent people making adjustments without sufficient knowledge of the process; thereby limiting the damage they can do. The Husquvarna company is but one example, where they don't provide a "high" needle screw setting on their largest capacity chainsaw, because it's way too easy to weld the internals of the motor together by leaning out the air/fuel mixture - this is an example of idiot proofing their product against people who don't know what they are doing, which in many cases is the very people who "claim" to know what they are doing.
