hi i have a 66cc motorized bicycle and there's something going on i cant explain when i ride my bike i have my clutch handle pushed in in order to stop or slow down now the trouble is that when i come to a complete stop with the handle pressed in the engine dies or acts like a killswitch another issue is to prevent this i have to rev my throttle or hold it about 75% power and i have a feeling that cant be too good for the engine doing that can anyone explain whats going on?

first, look on this board for how to adjust the clutch cable - it has probably stretched a bit. After that, you may need to also adjust your clutch.

could be, but that won't make a real diff if you adjust the cable & clutch

um, its a clutch isuue if its not disengaging, and you have to hold the thing back when "completely stopped"

that would be a pretty obvious fault, imho.

but, if it rolls around freely with the clutch pulled in when the engine isnt running, etc etc...its an engine issue. probaly the idle screw is all the way out, missing completely, or theres another air leak elsewhere.

now, as for explaining whats going on...

its youre bike, youre riding it, youre the one thats meant to be explaining whats going on...so far, you have been very very vague! read back through your own post from another persons viewpoint...we dont know what the issue is cus you havent really told us what it is other than the engine dies!

all we can do is guess :)
