I was looking to build a mini bike. Does anyone have an idea of what size engine? Also advice if taco bikes are reliable and stuff to watch out for. Also please post pictures if you have one!

Conventional mini bikes like the Rupp and Baja use a 3 to 6.5hp Briggs style engine.
Pocket rockets use 49cc goped motors, usually 2 stroke.

the joy of a minibike is that your first question is pointless... if you have a 427 V8 lying around, and know how to engineer it... ;)

some people might say its silly but im going to have a go with an os fs 26, or a whole 4.2cc :) just gotta convert it to petrol...

basically, the limitations are you, your abilities and your imagination...

taco? sounds sus to me... maybe im just opinionated, but that name just conjures up images of dodgy dodgy. never heard of it before, so dont listen to me!

dont ride minibikes on public property! ie, look out for the po-po!

HF 212cc would be a great mini motor, not for a 6 year old though.

taco mini bikes are an old school brand. I have an issue of rod & custom from I think the late '60s that prominently features a taco on the cover
