i just replace my piston rings but did not lubricate the cylinder so the piston could slide in easier. the bike did start but the piston got jammed & i cannot pull or take the Cylinder body off. Any ideals? i do not know if my rings Broke but i need the Cylinder body off & if i roll the bike the piston will not budge or move at all. its stuck & Btw if you think replacing the whole egine is better let me know..

get another engine if you can't free the piston with a rubber mallet

Try this before you go buy a whole new engine. Remove exhaust and see if the ring ends are visible, if so, you installed the piston backwards. The exhaust port is wider than the intake port, causing the ring ends to snag in the port. If so, you can work the rings while pulling the cylinder up and free it enough to get the cylinder off.

pull out the studs & then you can rotate the cylinder a bit to free it

thanks yall but the piston rings, piston, crank arm, cylinder body is destroyed. i.m just gonna but a new Engine because all those new parts will equal the same as the engine

well, now you hopefully have learnt a few things :)

1. the little "pins" in the ring grooves...face towards the carb.
2. with these engines, often a new one is cheaper than a rebuild.
3. theres little pins in the ring grooves, that prevent rings from rotating and catching ports.
4. the rings have notches that engage with the pins mentioned above, and jamming it in any other way will destroy any work you do.
5. a wee lil drop of oil at times can do wonders :) but you should be able to push the piston, with rings installed, through the cylinder with one finger... without oil.

we want pics of the rest of the engine! not to laugh or gain any knowledge, but more so you can show off the carnage...a bit like a moose head on the wall :giggle:

I agree. in fact i made a point of taking to the hinges of my ex-girlfriend's purse with a liberal dose of Teflon oil, to better enable her to open the damn thing, instead of holding her hand out in my direction whenever she wanted expensive jewelry.

How does any of what you said help me fix my bike or coach bag?
