that looks pretty burnt, are you torch welding? most people like to use mig welding for bicycle frames

It will take some huevos grandes to ride that BMX when you finish the install.

Did some more grinding and welding and grinding today
Motor fits in tight.

The motor is actually going be bolted to a plate which is bolted to the bottom pipe.
(just scratches head...)
Sorry, for the life of me I simply can't understand why you would purposely put a round pipe where a flat plate or at least a square pipe or channel metal should be for a stable engine mount.

Are you at least going to use muffler clamps to hold your plate for some sort of flat area and full tube grip?

Sorry, for the life of me I simply can't understand...

I've just joined this forum, and find it hilarious how critical people can be; All these motorized bike things we build are all make shift pieces of junk to have fun with. All you guys are like "you idiot... this is the right way to mount a rocket onto your bike" when at the end of the day, the main goal is to shove an engine into the frame, and make it spin the wheel... By any means necessary! Imthegrt1 Sick build man, just keep doing exactly what your doing; frame was to small for the engine, you seem to have solved that problem! :geek: the round tube you've put at the bottom, is probably structurally more sound than a square tube would be -from an engineering standpoint, round pipes tend to have more strength than square, or flat -thats why bikes are made from round bars, not square ones... if there was an advantage we'd be doing it... Besides your motor seems to be in there tight enough with enough points of contact, that it wouldn't matter if you had a flat platform for it to sit on, or a wire, you can fasten it to other parts of your frame... KC:rolleyes: keep your mouth shut, and let the man build for god's sake..

I used the pipe cause it was 2 inch same as the frame.
Ill attache angle arm each side for motor mount or box tube to the bottom pipe.
Also there is a side mount on front tube and a back mount going on back tube will be install.
But your right square tube for bottom would just been easier!
