Ok I don't have a kill switch and I use the choke to kill the motor. Since I'm out of the 16 to 1 ratio and now at 32 to 1 the choke will not kill the motor unless I give it a little throttle. I'm also 4 stroking at wot. I'm afraid to rejet leaner since that's my conclusion on it not killing the motor but I need to rejet leaner due to 4 stroking. Carb is clean, fuel filter is good, and head is properly torqued. Any thoughts?

Hook up a kill switch, any switch, between the black and blue CDI wires, or just drop the clutch at a stop to the kill the engine.

letting out the clutch without giving it any throttle will kill it - wait till it runs in a LOT more before doing radical tuning as it will get leaner as it runs in (dropping the needle to a leaner setting will help too)

I agree with KC , it is so easy to just put a switch in right on top of the CDI, blue wire to one side of the switch , blue out the other side, this is all inside a plastic deodorant top attached to the top of the CDI.

Using this switch instantly shuts off the motor.

Actually putting the switch in-line with the blue wire is not a great idea, that makes the switch part of the ignition system.
By just putting the switch in parallel with the black and blue turning the switch on shorts out the ignition, when the switch is off it's out of the circuit.

I do this with a keylock and hobby box epoxied to the top of the CDI.

Still haven't figured out why the choke won't kill the motor but I did install a a kill switch. Just odd that it keeps running with the choke on when I try to kill the motor after a 15 mile ride every time. The switch works like a charm just looking for an explanation why the choke won't kill it to avoid future problems. Thanks for the replys

I've seen choke plates that don't fit over the venturi as tightly as others.

The choke plate has a hole in it to prevent over-choking. Expecting the engine to die with the choke on is pure folly. Just hook up a kill switch, or you could do it the old redneck way and pull the plug wire off of the plug. lol
