hey guys, guess who's jumping on the fat tire bandwagon? you got it.. me :geek:

i'm having a quality walmart bike assembled by a certified technician

i have an extra tanaka 40cc purefire i'd like to rig with this and i think a chain drive would be better, bcos I haven't found a friction drve kit wide enough and a chain drive would be more efficient.. what about this jackshaft kit? it uses the existing gears

i'm thinking something like this, but a motor in place of the bag above the rear wheel

please give me your thoughts!

An electric shifter works well.

sickBikeParts.com has 36 and 48V kits for ~$400. with all the parts to tie the motor into the pedals so it uses the bike gears.

You can get a little a 'water bottle' battery for ~$300, my build sports a $1K ~1KW battery ;-}
