That shift kit is awesome and would solve most of the problems I was worried about. You guys are awesome. As far as the tank I was just going to go rear mounted behind the seat. That shift kit is the way to go. Thank you, thank you
Happy to help Skunx, gears really change everything, especially with a 49cc 4-stroke.
Here is a little up close and personal of how it works.
If that chain looks odd, that is because it is KMC HL 710 Half Link chain.
It makes sizing the chain for each side easier and it's double tuff stuff.
Expensive as heck, $30 a box, but it does both sides.
The shift kit comes with a nice HD 410 Z chain that usually fits and works fine, that is just another option.
You can slide the engine forward for left side chain tension, but to do the right side you are supposed to move whole engine base plate up.
That is seldom a good option but you can use the wheel from kits tentioner for the right side.
Just make a little slot on the side of base plate and use that wheel.
The future bases from SickBikes will most likely include this slot, but for now you need to drill your own.
