Fito #3 66cc 3-speed shifter w/ shocks

This is another customer directed build where I have artistic freedom.

I am starting with a $300 silver Fito.

This was my last one.

This time I stripped it down to the frame.

Man I wish that was new GT2-A gas tank frame with disc bosses that will take 3" wide wheels but that is a few months way.
This one will get a small peanut tank as well.
I ditched the tripe tree's and put on a new mountain bike front fork with V and Disc bosses.

I have a 3-speed internal Shimano SG-3D55 Universal Hub Kit Nexus (32H 3 Speed CenterLock Disc) on the way to replace the 7-speed, and then it is getting a jackshafted 66cc engine.

This is my kind of build and it should be a joy to ride ;-}

~$775 in parts.

Will be cool to see how this comes out.
It has a few other twists like how I modify the new 2-stroke jackshaft mount to be more 'user friendly' simply because I can in the mist of fabbing a new 4-stroke base now anyway.

Are the tires staying? They look really nice.
Oh ya, the same stock wheels and tires, just a better front fork and a 3-speed disc hub in the back wheel.

Here is how she sits in the bay right now...

Nice disc front shock fork for $80 the Fito's disc caliper fit right on.

The new 3-speed disc hub is a week out for delivery so we are going to build it up and test it with the stock 7-speed.

Arrghhh!

The 24" fito rim has 36 spoke holes but the 3-speed disc hub I got only has 32 spoke holes.
I can't seem to find an internal shift hub with disc mount with 36 spoke holes, or a 24" rim with only 32 holes.

Sure, I can get none disc hubs with 36 spoke holes but I don't wand to sacrifice a brake disc brake for it.

Any thoughts?

I suggest asking Lynn at custom motored bicycles.com
Even if you can't find what you're looking for on the website, chances are they either have it or can source it

The SA 3-speed didn't like the extra fat dropout's on the right controller side.
There just wasn't a comfortable amount of thread left there once everything was on.

The little brace for the shifter cover looked like the best place to get rid of some extra width.
It has a secondary piece spot welded on and not necessary so I just used a 'Primitive Pete' screw driver and broke it off.

That was enough for good thread bite on the axle and it buttoned up nice.

I lost my long time helper last weekend so just breaking in a new guy now so things are slower than usual.
