I'm thinking of building another motorized bike only for racing sometime next year maybe. I was thinking of going with a 99cc or maybe even a 200cc motor for it. What are some good bikes or frames out there that could handle this type of project?

I'm even considering a nitro system & maybe even a turbo kit.

You should check out the Sportsman Flyer for ideas at http://www.sportsmanflyer.com/. Another frame to consider can be found at Phantom-bikes.com or Bikeberry. Phantom frame-enlarged.jpg

One of the most successful racers out here in California uses a Felt canvas frame. They seem to be extremely robust, can take 79/99 and 212 HF/Predator easily.

Bonus points: proper horizontal dropouts and top-tube can be modded to become a fuel tank.
Which current successful Socal Motor Bicycle Racer do you think uses a Felt frame?

Joker Machine used Felts but we haven't seen them at a race since Richard got hurt
and the whole company moved to Lake Havasu in Nevada.

There only is one current racer with a 212cc in a Felt and his bike broke at the last 2 races
this year.

However Felts make awesome motorized bicycles.

You can Not buy that Felt knock off frame from Phantom-bikes.com or Bikeberry.

Phantom-bikes.com the importer will no longer sell you only the frame.

They stopped selling the frame because they don't want the competition
against their complete bike builds.

If you want strength, think of getting a tandem bike, remove all the stoker stuff and there is a place for everything already beefed up.If $$ is no object, look at back to back recumbent tandems, I can see mass potential in those for cargo, even if the cargo is a huge engine. Also anytime I'm on feebay, I check out old Puch moped frames, they are also a great starting point, with some weld modding.Be careful!

The Phantom-bike frames are still on their web site. I found the Joker FELT-SLATER-WILLOW-SPRINGS-C-120428-006-W.jpgbike online. Enjoy the picture!

Phantom Bikes is NOT selling the frame now!

The frames are Not on their website for sale.

They said they are not going to sell the frames ever again because
the say people were building them and passing them off as theirs.

Oh yeah, I even called them..........:giggle:

Enjoy some accurate info!
