its neither. its society. being clever is bad bad bad. its all about how shiny things are and how good they look, not whether they work! (apple products, hah hah...)

if something interests someone, they do a search...then they realize theres maths involved, algebra, and they have to study that...then theres actual work, experimenting required... :eek2: WHAAA? sod it! im watching youtube!

we wouldnt have computers if someone hadnt figured out (by experimenting) thermionic valves(tubes) transistors, and all the other wonderful things we now enjoy due to the hard dilligent efforts of a few, that then decided to share their results...

spoon fed moronic irrelevant mind fluff from a box from birth, the present state of our society falls rather short of the ideal...

i thank the guys that learnt foundry work to make my mill and lathe.

i thank the guys that sorted out the electronics and wiring and hardware required to plug them into a computer...

i thank the guy that developed the software so my puter will talk to my machines and vice versa...

the guys that developed the software so i can draw on my puter...

the guys that developed the software to turn that drawing into something on my mill...

i have no thanks for the lazy git that owns them and barely uses them, making excuses better than anything :ROFLMAO: and has no real idea of whats going on when $H17 happens...

same for the 3D printer...oh my, that IS a head trip!

a digression? maybe..

rather waste time making things than waste time watching telly or playing puter games...i end up with tangible objects :)

worst comes to worst...theres night college, open schools, old guys with garage/basement workshops, etc... people always willing to help :)

yuk...apartment living. i would DIE without my two acres...

get out there and just DO IT! excuses are just excuses!
