Diagram of lip that is removed. Now some will freak out that it's on the exhaust side, but if you keep the angle towards intake you'll be fine!

you'd be better off sticking some jb weld in there to ramp it towards the intake side. Cheez's motors are great, the casting on them is brilliant.
