I will be using Mr. Tuffy 3XL tire liners designed for use with 3.1" - 4.0" tires. My issue is that they just lay in there and the pressure of the tube is supposed to keep it in place. Can you recommend an adhesive that might help keep it in place better or should I leave well enough alone?

I use liners. How do you save money by avoiding flats?

Thorn resistant tubes, Nomoflats or equivilent tire liners, Kevlar lined tires and common sense in avoiding tire danger areas. No guarantees but those will avoid 90% of oops. 100% im my experience.

Cut strips of HDPE (milk jugs) in the width of tire. Tape strips inside of tire with duct tape, make it one continuous piece of tape to avoid any problems. HDPE is one of the best puncture resistant things per it's weight IMO and it's free!!!:D

Kevlar tires+HD tubes. Also solid tubes exist and I have a pair but I don't like them and will never use them again.
