1st time firing her up question.

wired it up last night, nice and neat. Putting the chain on in AM and then mixing up some fuel. 16/1 is what I'm seeing as recommended for 1st gallon.
I have a 66cc, high compression head, jaguar CDI, reed valve, expansion chamber pipe and a dullar carb. My question is do I even worry about rejecting yet for initial break-in? Or only after break in is complete.
I have a NGK B8HS plug. What should I gap it at?

35 thou is a good starting point. if you can go bigger and it still jump the gap consistently then do it, but 35 thou is the biggest gap that will always work

I s the #8 ok here I FL even throw it's not too hot right now or should. I not really worry till it's broken in too fine tune?
Leave the stock jets for now as well?

the 8 is good for florida. here in Biloxi, MS I use a 7 for winter and 8 for summer. leave the stock jets until it's broken in, you'll have to rejet it 20 times if you dont

Figured but thanks for clearing up.
Didn't have the right size chain breaker so could not install drive chain. Will have to do in am and then mix up some gas.
Looking forward to getting this long awaited project fired up and running.

if you have a grinder or a dremel or even just a good quality file you can grind the face of the pin off and drive it through with a nail or roll pin punch or similar. might save you a few bucks if you're using a master link anyway

You can also use a hammer and screwdriver. It ain't pretty but it works. I did this multiple times. This seems to be the best way to do it (video below). If you do not have a piece of wood or drill, then you can take a wrench end (the loop) and place a link on both sides of the loop and hammer. Also, hammer lightly into medium strength; it will come out. No need to go hulk smash on it.

.25 to .30 is the gap that most engines run best with, you'll need to find what works best with your engine.
