precursor.
after riding my grubee bike for a while the engine started idling extremely fast, and the idle adjustment didnt seem to do anything other than shut the engine off. it would either idle very fast, or just turn off. there was no in between. then it started dieseling. turned out that the gasket for the intake manifold (pipe connecting engine block to carb, thank thats what its called) and the exhaust both had blown gaskets. upon further inspection, it appeared that the gaskets were made from some kind of felt before they were likely incinerated due to the heat.

can i use two aluminum gaskets, and
"J-B Weld 31314 Red High Temperature RTV Silicone Gasket Maker and Sealant"
in order to replace the original gaskets? i assume this will also slightly reduce the compression by adding a small amount of space between both the carb and the block, and the exhaust and the block. thus reducing the chance of the gasket blowing again due to excessive pressure. also, could someone direct me to a video/tutorial for how to replace gaskets using high temp silicone and gaskets?

intake and exhaust has different bolt patterns.

they probably blew because the mating surfaces aren't perfectly flat. take a belt sander to the mating surfaces.

I would use a good copper gasket and anneal it with out any sealer. If a person has to use sealer there is something not right.

Only way I have seen to keep the aluminum gasket sealing is to torque them about every 20 miles.

If you need petrol proof glue epoxy sets in 2min and could hold the head on with no bolts at 140 kg per square centermeter. Costs a bit

I know you have to be kidding!! They do make a gas proof sealer but if everything is in good shape you should not need sealer!

No I stripped the carby intake bolts so it is glued on only one bolt holding the muffler in the head so that to. Sillycan dose not set hard and blows out. I tried everything and all ways have a leak so a more permanent glue was necessary and when I shut the muffler flap it will blow eny thing out.

If I was foolish enough to strip a bolt hole I would helicoil it and be better then the aluminum threads as the insert is made of stainless steel. Yes any sealer will blow out if you are suppose to have two bolts holding it and only have one. I only no of one way to fix something it that is the correct way. This is why after retiring I still have customers that will not let others touch their motorcycle. I work on motorcycles that cost at least 20K plus. I all so do all machine work on motorcycles as well. Been working on motorcycles for 45 plus years.

By the way what is sillycan?

Insert in to aluminium so when you're coil comes out on your bolt then what. And the gaskets blows out with 2 bolts. So there's no right way with these things it's what works and after you bye all the right stuff to get the motor going good at best it cost so mush you could of got a 110cc pit bike cheaper. If these motors were eny good or if you could make them good people wood be doing it. Not on here trying to fix them all the time.I never seen a post of how happy someone is. or how thay did a mod that works on everybodys motor coz I do something to my bike and my mates bike hates it. You do a mod on a Harley Davidson and it works on all of them? That's why I got a hp 49cc pocket bike engine goes better then this junk out the box. Tuned allready and smaller I don't need or want to mod it coz it flys 64kmh and red lineing ezy no peddling ever beats most cars from 0 to 60. Best bit a mod on one works on all of them.
