hey guys i'm new here thanks for allowing me to be part of your network. I am new to
Motorized bicycles and I have just picked up a bike with a 80cc engine and would
Like some help getting to know a few things. I'd like to find out what I have for a kit. Is there any way of finding out what kit is installed on My bike? And what parts will Work on it, and what can I do to get the most power out of My bike. Thank you in advance

It is a 2-stroke 66cc (there are no 80cc but is advertised that way) engine with a manual clutch. When you look for parts and upgrades you search for "2-stroke motorized bicycle" "2 stroke motorized bicycle" and there are plenty of parts for these engines. The rear sprocket is most likely a 44T sprocket that should get you up to 30 mph with good acceleration. There are many upgrades/leverage for power but I think the consensus of most that work is the following:

- ngk premium spark plug (iridium or rare metal) (this is cheap)
- expansion chamber (~60-90)
- jackshaft shift kit (~120-150)

Other than that, learn about tuning your carburetor and reading your spark plug. Of course, make sure you put in the correct gas:eek:il ratio (30:1). Check all bolts frequently for stretch and retighten.

Ok thanks. I Checked my plug yesterday after running it a while and it was the color of a cardboard paper bag.

Ok thanks, I have been doing non stop research and I did not know that they advertised them as 80cc but are actually 66cc. But have seen 66-80cc everywhere I looked. Also, just checked my rear gear and it is a 44t so you are correct. So how do I determine what parts will work on this engine? Like let's say I blow. Top end. What would I get for a rebuild? Any info would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, it takes time to learn about the engines. Sbest, a user, had a really good explanation and diagram about chopping your spark plug looking both at the tip and base of the spark plugs. I wish they would sticky that. Here is a basic chart to do that.

I am not sure what you mean by blow the top end. If it is the head then you can always go to eBay, gasbike, or bikeberry to get parts. Many folks here don't like gasbike but some found them adequate.

What I mean by blowing the top end, I mean if I need to rebuild it what parts can I use to rebuild it? Is there a way to tell which engine I have?

If there isn't a special marking or sticker on your engine, most likely you will have a generic 2-stroke 66cc engine. If you blow the top end, which is ridiculously difficult to do, you should get a generic 2-stroke top end that is of a similar design from bikeberry, ebay, or gasbike

Ok this is a couple pics of plug chops. I did a plug chop on the plug that was on the bike when I bought it, and the second pic is a brand new plug I put on today and ran it for 3 miles then did another plug chop. Can you tell me if this is good?

It looks okay to me but I am not the best at reading plugs. Hopefully, there will be a sticky soon on the topic. Here is a link provided by someone else.

Thanks so much for that. I think I saw this somewhere else but couldn't find it. I know this is t really the place for threads but I tried making a thread on another page and it wouldn't let me. I do appreciate the help. I'm New to the motor bike thing and I am Getting addicted real quick haha. I just wanted to post that pic so someone can tell me if I could run it leaner or richer. The guy who sold me this bike said he ran 28:1-30:1 in it. Is this safe?
