what is the best engine kit from eBay? I want to be motorizing the huffy with the line green on the seat.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Is there one that goes into the huffy cranbrook hassle free? Is there anything components that I need to watch out for or/and look into upgrading?

Is a 10:1 ratio where you put 1 gallon of oil into 9 of gasoline or where you out 1 gallon of oil into ten gallons of gasoline?

It's the second one - 1 gallon of oil for every 10 gallons of gasoline. Also, a 10:1 is way too low for breaking in these engines. Most people recommend that you should use a 16:1 of unsynthethic oil during break in and 25:1 of full synthetic thereafter.

One part i know you will need is the special u-bolt and mounting plate for the front mount because I assume the Huffy you have in mind is a cruiser and had a wider diameter down bar. I think pretty much all kits have that though. Another thing to lookout for is the wording "machine balanced crankshaft" or any other language that indicates that the crankshaft is balanced and is a single piece. If you stay away from the cheapest kits, you will avoid getting an engine with the older unbalanced two piece shaft. I personally recommend paying a little extra and buying a kit from someone who builds HT engines themselves. You usually will get better parts in the engine and will not have to worry about assembly errors. I have bought from Dax - http://thatsdax.com/. I also hear this guy is really good to http://ozarkcruisers.com/

As for upgrading, I recommend buying a rear sprocket adapter for your first build. It is so much easier to true than the rag joint and you don't have to worry about worrying your spokes.

When you say too low do you mean too much oil? Wouldn't a 10:1 be higher then a 16:1 ratio?

Also where can I get the rear sprocket adapter and is there instructions for connecting it?

Yes, I meant a 10:1 is too much oil.

You have several choices with how many teeth the rear sprocket may have. I bought mine from BikeBerry and the sprocket that comes with the adapter is the stock 44t, however there are options ranging from 36t to 48t. A smaller sprocket increases top speed while a bigger sprocket increases torque at the expense of speed. I went crazy and bought a 66t before they discontinued them just to see how well it could off road and climb hills and it was amazing. You might want to shop around at different sites that sell them as BikeBerry is kind of expensive.

Those are very pricey, I think I'll just keep it stock and see how well everything does. I'm looking forward to it!

Can't wait to have fun
