Hi i'm just wondering what the best performance parts are?
I'm buying a 32 teeth sprocket because there is literally no hills around here,
I'm also buying a racing carburetor. Is there anything else i should get? What exhaust is the best for top end speeds? Also wheres the best place for buying a high compression head? What else do you guys recommend?
Thanks!!

Carby and Sprocket I'm buying,

From what I understand, hear, and have experienced, those are 2 good choices. I have also had a 36 tooth with holes in it for mounting to a disk brake hub, looked a little better machined than the eBay listing.

Exhaust, doesn't matter, but does. Certain varieties of stock exhaust can be restrictive to gas escaping, others not at all, some loud, some not, pick what makes it run nice (remember the muffler is part of the cooling system, too cold can damage the cylinder, too hot same result. Remember as well that louder exhausts make you feel and appear faster than normal, even if it's only in our heads.

I bought a tuned exhaust, worked great on my bike. Tuned is better described as an expansion chamber, and insert magic/science, and that chamber sends a shockwave back towards the engine, pushing clean, unburnt gas and air back to the engine, resulting in a more efficient engine. Some work, some don't, with the huge variety in riding style, types of engines, types of riding climate, something will work for somebody, and others won't.

Research.

High compression heads, I first owned and still operate a slant head design, I've seen a few types, mine has the best compression out of box, maybe a manufacturing defect made the volume of my head smaller than it should have been. Matt, of. Bicycle_motor_works on eBay, sells his custom machined hc head, on the bikes I've seen, cools nicely and performs well, another popular high compression head overheated the engine he used before the high compression.

Wait for more replies before acting, perhaps a member has a very similar engine and set up to what you want and can have valuable input.

What would you recommend?
Triple prong, hold up better to oily break in gas, one arm gets fouled, and the next takes over and helps burn off the bad stuff on the other 2.

Grandpa had a nice Isuzu manual transmission pickup, ran beautifully but had a bad pinging problem, and just wasnt as powerful as grandpa remembered it being. We replaced all the plugs with triple prongs and he loved grabbing that stick afterwords until it had a severe engine failure after another engine went through it sideways...

Iridium spark plug

best mod you can do is take the crank out and balance it. (see my site for more info)

Iridium, really...? As far as I can possibly tell, iridium plugs are a marketing gimmick unless the engine is quite litteraly built around the plug (which could very well be the case in a minority of ultra high performance machines,) course the multi prong plugs are likely a gimmick as well, but 3 prongs betters the chance of a successful ignition over a longer time. From what I hear manufacturers don't even recommend you adjust iridium plugs because it could damage them (like I said, engines built around plugs.)

I second the crank balancing act 1, exit stage right. Lights camera action, what's going on here? Also exit stage right.

Jag knows his stuff. Done as much or more research than any other person on this forum

Iridium has never failed to give me a performance boost, no matter what engine I use them in.
It's the only plug I recommend.

I bet he does I just never noticed a difference performance wise, let's also note jag has converted the gas powered paperweights of the East into something that could be expected to be sold out of Switzerland, with help from automobile designers from Germany, and 2 not 1 but 2 nasa rocket engineers.. Of course his artwork benefits from a very high performance sparkplug (ehem did I mention engines being built around sparkplugs?) He frigging rebuilt them to higher standards than a Rolex watch.

Yes, his engines perform well and so do his spark plugs, in a standard smokey the bear oil spitting oriental environmental disaster, I see no difference, nor do the other stock riders. 3 prongs, they hold up nicely though.
