I have been having problems with my clutch. When I pull it in, it doesn't let the gear move freely. Should I unscrew the side of the engine to see if something is wrong?

hey dude i had the same problem and i see this post is recent. Did you unscrew the engine cap (opposite the transmission gear/clutch case) and remove the flower nut? Cuz all The clutch does is pushes the engine over so its not spinning the transmission gear anymore. I had the same issue. You need to make sure the clutch pin is aligned as well. For The flower nut, my engine kit the cheapest one on eBay, it was all balck and at first i didn't think you could remove the flower nut, it seemed Part of the engine setup. There was a tiny ass lil philips screw in one "dip" on my flower nut, holding it in place. Remove this, and to remove the flower nut put a flathead in one of the dips of the nut and hit it w a mallet or hammer. This is what i did. Its important you put the flower nut back on (i assume, i did), just only tighten is as much as u can w ur fingers. Before putting anything back on, pull the clutch lever and you can see The gears of the engine physically being pressed away from the flower nut, disenga
