hi all. my name is Mike and I have been snooping for a little while and I have found out some good info. I plan to build a motorized bike hopefully within the next month as a back up or may be a primary source of transportation. most of which will be from what I can find and build to work.
As far as my use for the bike will be 1. traveling to my part time job on the weekends to save me roughly 1 to 2 Gallons of gas that my truck burns just to take me roughly 6 miles round trip.
I hope that also I will be able to take it to my primary job which is in excess of 27 miles one way. I will have to build proper lights and turn signals just to be as safe as possible.
so far I was able to pick up a roadmaster Mt. Fury frame for needless to say buying a couple worker lunch. the tires say 24x1.85 so I take it that's a 24 inch frame? my concern is will the China ht 80cc fit this frame?
needless to say yes it is a Walmart bike but it should serve it's purpose. one thing I have noticed is that most people say there top speed is 30 to 40mph but if someone can lead into the right direction to get roughly 35 to 37mph at cruise would be great. thanks in advance. mike.
