Well I usually use a ratchet or the tool you get with the kit if I'm stuck, go to some hardware shop/coop/tool hire shop/motor factors and ask them for a plug spanner think it's 21 mm not sure measure and check

I can remove that black cap kind of thing with my hand leaving a thin bolt thingy sticking out behind the spark plug which was covered by the black cap.
Do I have to actually remove that whole spark plug with the nut leaving a hole where you can see inside the engine?
Is a rachet designed to do the job of a spanner where a spanner can't fit?
I dont own one- what price should I be looking for to do the job?
Cheers

Some tool hire places may just give it to you and you bring it back but I gave got a plug spanner in your equivalent to pound land they are cheap 5£ at most about 50 p on ebay

Are you sure the one you bought it from was called industry-village- he said there were no tools included in the kit.

Open the eBay app on your phone, search spark plug socket, refine by price low to high and the top result is 16 sizes of the tool for 0.99p, in UK, but you have to wait 4 days to see if it stays at a low price. There's also 6,426 alternatives though. I have not checked the size either as the tool comes with the engine kit.
The gear puller tool also comes with the kit and is indispensable. You cannot properly maintain the engine without these tools which come with the kit.
Measure your spark plug. The third eBay result is 19mm supposed to be for a chainsaw and may well be correct. Looks good and under a quid. Just have to wait until 7th October at the earliest as it's not a UK seller. But it's raining anyway.
