problems with clutch not engaging not sure very frustrated help!

This happened to me on the way home, I opened the clutch up and there is a tiny pin that holds the clutch arm down that was sticking out, solved my problem

need WAY more info about this problem - checked cable adjustment?, checked flower nut adjustment? etc etc

I'm having the problem of the clutch arm popping out. I pulled the cover and can see i don't have a pin or even a hole where the pin should be. Should i make my own? Any suggestion will be helpful. thank you.

need a pic - hole is often covered by epoxy to keep pin in place

okay after further inspection i found it. thank you guys. now i got to figure out how to replace it.

I would suggest you talk to the people who sold you the motor, that pin is a pretty hard thing to just lose or break. In fact it's rare enough that it's nearly unheard of. The seller should send you a new clutch cover honestly. If it's outside a warranty or had none then buy another cover or epoxy a pin or piece of nail in its place.

Really strange you're missing that part really...

I have been having problems with my motor from the begining.
Well that may be very true and good and all but what exactly is it doing? It's either you installed the cable too tight, the flower nut (Google it) is too loose, you're missing a gear, or you forgot to install the chain.

It's also possible that your motor is missing a Woodruff key somewhere and it feels like it won't engage because it's slipping. Pull the right side cover off, then roll the bike or just the rear wheel with the clutch out, if it's slipping you'll see a nut or something obvious not moving while the rest does.

Untill we know more about what's not happening we can't tell you what to do. Figure it out and post the results.

I guess the pin broke. the top part of it is still there I'm gonna try drilling it out and replace it. Where is a good place to buy a new cover if need be?
