Hi, just built a bike with an engine and on the second day i noticed it lost all power so i went to turn it off and back on while riding but as soon as i pulled the clutch and pressed the kill switch the back wheel locked. The back wheel is now permanently locked even when i pull the clutch.

Does anybody no what.s wrong? is the clutch gone or engine seized, only have the engine a day.
Thanks, David

this is old but i figured id contribute for people that come across it.
shat you need to do is take off the side clutch cover and look for a link that is stuck at the top of the clutch box. if needed, adjust flower nut tension.

Yea take off the side clutch covering and a link should be caught in there, if needed adjust flower nut tension.

This is the area you need to look in. After you fix it adjust your chain tension. That's why it jumped.

also you could have to tighten your motor to your frame, could cause chain jumping

I had to snicker at this 'fix' at first, but poor engine mounting is the bane of many a builder...

It is easy to check if your engine is securely in your bike frame or not, just give it the
'shove test'.

Put one hand on your engine head, and your other hand on the bikes top bar above it, then
shove the engine back and forth as hard as you can!

If your engine moves AT ALL it's a fail, even the slightest movement will let vibration in and it's all down hill from there because your engine is way stronger than your arms, and it wants to vibrate.
