This cool looking item will dampen some of the resonating noise transmitted from stock cover!

I built this bike for John a friend of mine. He loves the fancy stuff as you can see. John's bikes are always quieter than mine. He completely wraps his pipes real heavy. The billet covers may help as well. they are beefier than stock. I even saw where someone used a mouse pad to insulate the inside of the covers.

Makes sense to me! I have always said that if you tigged a couple beads across the thin face of that cover it would be much quieter reducing the resonance! but denser and thicker is even better!

I kinda want a set myself. One cause they look good, and it will give John something to razz me about. Those milled groves gota stiffen it up a lot.

Off subject, which of the cns carbs. do you prefer? I have three. Two have two tubes coming out the top. The other just 1. The one with 1 tube is made for the reg. nt style air cleaner. The others are hose clamp style. Also is it better to plug either of the tubes? And by the way, yes they all have 6mm jets.:D I'm considering adapting one to a 4 stroker.

I've had good results with the ones with two tubes out the top!I use a hose clamp for filter but the red nt speed cover came with it and was very restricted and also came with a small #68 jet lol well small for my set up but I also bored it 1.5mm huge difference in bottom end tho!I just took off one clear tube and bridged the two.

I have a nt on the 4 stroker right now that was a bear to get dialed in. I had to go up from the 68 that works on the 2 strokers to a 75 on the smaller 4 stroke. Cut away a little more bevel on the slide, and dremel another notch in the pin to drop the clip a little lower. I screwed a little with the cns today then I got aggravated with it. It may be just to big for a 49cc.

Try the speed carb red cover it has less flow so would work better with smaller jetting!like I said before with the high flow filter I use #82-#84 jets in it beautifully.

I actually have a brand new speed in the tool shed with the velocity stack to accept the larger air cleaner. I think the nt and the speed are very similar. They advertise the speed as larger, but they mic out the same. I think I just need to stick to the nt for now, and get the next two size up jets. Sometimes I try to many approaches to a problem at once and make the answer harder to find.
