Do not motorize a huffy nel lusso

I saw another huffy cruiser, it had the rear wheel arm thingamajigs come up and swing past the seat tube, and meet with the top tube and end at the yoke. The tubes were paper thin, welded at the seat and top tube. Both small tubes snapped at the seat post welds resulting in free rear suspension and chain derailment.

Yes just bought 2 nel lusso bikes less than a month old and both frames broke at luggage rack welds. No motors on either bike. Contacted huffy they told me to bring back to walmart. Walmart told me it's huffys problem to contact them since i bought bikes online.

First, it's generally a good idea to avoid huffy, they are low on the food chain in welding and material choices.. I have one that is a fat tire bike, problem is that I do not trust it enough even though I have seen one and even worked on 2 for 2 other people with motors in them! One guy weighed probably a buck and ten and the other is this 6 foot pressing 300 guy...

So far the big guy only popped tires and chains...

Now, I'm not sure if it's good only because huffy is sometimes very good... Like when they make a good copy of an actually sound frame....

Unfortunately I don't feel super secure with their bikes, since I could drill theirs in just a split second, same drill and bit take a second and a half on this mongoose frame.

I might just give the bike away since it might get no use from me..

Yeah...huffy cranbrook here. Chainstays flex when i make turns under power. I don't like it. I've been looking for another frame for a bit now, but have no dinero so its gotta be a dumpster bike or something. My second motorized bike (first i built) was the black nel lusso with red tires. Frame held up during the 3 months i had it before it got stolen :(. Put a over a thousand miles on it during that time. Its the bike thats made me take all my fenders off. Rear fender burrito'd itself between the tire and that awesome luggage rack sliding me to a halt between a city bus and semi while going roughly 30mph. Needless to say, i pooped myself :p.

worked on a huffy cruiser today & found that there is not enough room on the frame to put the CDI behind the carb where I like it : (

going to try to put it under the motor & hope I can keep it dry
What do you think about frame building from scratch. the old school braze weld lugs
