Well i knew this motor made good power. I was cruising at about 35 and my pedal chain jumped and wrapped around the bottom bracket ripping the derailluer off snapping the sram chain and destroyed the SBP 24t drive sprocket... This is not how i wanted my leisure ride to end but now i know the drive sprocket was too little for the rpm that i can turn.
So now I will need to replace the hanger/derailleur, chain and up size the drive sprocket from 24t proportionally so that a 72t can be used instead of the 54t Im currently running. This will allow for more off the line speed ability as well as reduce parasitic drag on the drive system. And my pedal ratio will be better suited to assist at any speed. Right now the pedals don't really have the push I would like with the current setup.
4.2 HP @11000 rpm on a 5:1, to an 11t, then 54t secondary, directly attached to the 24t then to the 8spd cassette.
