i was driving along one day last week and engine suddenly starting to loose power since then it hasn't started I did spark test and had no spark I then tested cdi and mag and plug but where all good so I then replaced The cdi the mag and plug I removed kill switch checked wires and connections and timing I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix please help :( also engine has about fifty to a hundred miles over break in period

have you checked the magnet side woodruff key ? or checked that the woodruff groove is at 1 o clock when the piston is at tdc?

Yeah I checked this when I replace the magneto I'm really confused as to why I'm not getting any kind of spark I also tried to revert the colours by mixing and trial and error :(

well wiring is simple blue to blue and earth the black , if it has white just blank it off , for kill switch one wire joined to blue other to earth. last time i was getting no spark after removing the magneto the force of the magnet had sucked the woodruff key out when i was putting the magnet on the shaft , if everything is new there is no reason for it not to spark , what kind of plug are you using?

Z4c I think I had another z4c and both fire up fine in my weed wacker and as for wiring all colours match and now I'm just simply confused :(

is the black wire soldered or have you tried grounding it from another place to the frame? not sure what a z4c is the one that comes with kit? anyway on quick search seems acceptable . try opening up where the killswitch button is and check nothing is wrong.

Thanks for the replys zip,
Black wire is soldered, and yeah the plug comes from the kit I tried this in my petrol weed wacker and fires up really easy and for the moment I have removed the killswitch wires just now until find the problem then add it back in

yeah if it fires with killswitch not wired you know thats the problem . if it still doest fire try joining another wire to the black wire and then to a good grounding point. also if you recently replaced the magnet maybe you put it back on backwards? i usually mark the outside before i remove but not sure if a new one is marked or even if it makes a difference for that matter.

Where would be the best option for grounding this? To bike ie the drinks holder screws ? Or the engine it's self, or do you mean to the mag it's self and yeah I didn't mark how I took it apart when I put it back together I made sure the woodruff key was good and in one o'clock position and that the piston is at top of jug next head (plug) ..........
And blue and white wires are on top of mag and black coming from bottom and arm of mag but on my first mag it has blue on top of mag and black from bottom of coil and arm on mag if this makes any sense lol

ya bottle holder should do. once the black is ground and the blue is coming from the coil shouldnt matter , but i suppose it could be possible you flipped it? again not sure it it makes a difference can only try if all else fails
