24V system with 36V controller?

Hello,

My E-Bike just dead. I have 2 E-bikes so I tested every part. Akku's are good, brushless motor is working well, but the controller does not supply enough voltage to the motor. Maybe the mosfets are dead, but it is very very dificult to extract the board from the case because of the chinese "seals"; I'm afraid to broke the board.

My bike is running on 24V, but I didn't found any controller for 24V / 26". My controller is KZQW22A-MIFA DC24V / 26' and I found a lot KZQW22A-MIFA DC36V / 28'.

If I buy the 36V controller, will it work on my 24V system?

Not likely. The 24 volt batteries will will not provide enough juice to appease the low voltage shutoff on the 36v controller.
Try electricscooterparts.com if you have not already.

Maybe post pictures of the controller? I tried to help by researching but everything turns up as 36v... Looking through a German e-bike forum (which had a striking resemblance to our forum, same web software) didn't help much other than what would appear to be a standard amongst the cheap off brand Chinese electric motors and controllers.

Apparently even modifying software on some of the equipment is done to get better performance and such..

So for starters you should be able to find a controller rather easily that can be interbred with the rest of the electronics and parts you have, since everyone making the stuff is just copying everyone else (much like our happy time gasoline equivalents) there rose a kind of standard amongst the tolerances.

I guess what you have isn't a real version of the original. The market was apparently flooded with copies according to several Dutch websiting and forum threads. The company who makes the original makes tons of other stuff for electric bikes and scooters and all that.

Send a picture of it and the plugs maybe someone will recognize them or at the very least backtrack the system and find what is compatible.

Now if I were you and I knew I could replace some mosfets in something that already doesn't work and was looking to replace it anyway I'd get cracking. Those aluminum boxes with the heavy epoxy seals are easily bypassed with a carbide cutting bit for a rotary tool, just sit down when you have time and patience and slowly start cutting in as to best separate it in the same way it was put together.

Good luck with it,

Hello again. I was in vacantion.
This is my controller:

Cables are looking exactly like this:

This is my display:

I cannot find the same controller like I had, but I found some that may be working. Could someone please advice me what to buy?

1. http://www.radversender.de/E-Bike-Controller-Steuergeraet-AZK01029-Fahrrad-250Watt-24V-Pedelec
It is 250W like mine, 24V like mine, it has 28" wheel but not so important, but the problem is that the cables are different. Actually, I have everything to modify the cable and everything that is needed, but the question is: Will my display work with this controller?

It is has the same cables like my controller, but it is 36V, 28". It is there any way to change the undervoltage protection in this controller type?

3. ANY OTHER OPTION - please suggest

Normally it matters only because of speed. 28' controller with 26' wheel will result in lower speed than normal but in my situation first I have to find a controller that is 24V, 250W and compatible with my display or with display included.

I didn't found anything on internet about compatible displays with AZK00700 controller. Does anyone know anything about this?

Apparently that controller uses a type of programmable automobile computer, it might just be a bit of code that can be changed up to work on a 26.

Is that the only system compatible with your bike?

You may be right, but I I am not so sure if this specific module can be programmed.

Actually, that I am asking. I am not sure if it's compatible with my display. For sure AZK00700 is compatible with brakes, PAS sensor, and Motor, but not sure about compatibility with my display.
I found KU95N Controller that is an universal controller, but no compatible display in stock here in Germany.

That's the link to the company contact page that makes the part, maybe try emailing them to see if they can point you in a certain direction, you can ask if they can tell you if a 28 is simply reprogrammable to work on 26, I wouldn't doubt it's the same computer just with different values put in it
